"Don't come in, stay out!"
"But we're scared! Please, Daddy?"
"NO!"
"Oh God, Jerry." CREAK.
"Judy, don't let them in!"
"It's too late."
"Mommy? Daddy?"
"JUDY, YOUR TIME HAS COME!"
"Nooooooo!!"
"LEAVE US!"
"NO!"
"Mommy! Daddy! NOOO!!!!"
"NOOO!!!!" Jami screamed, still in a dream-like state.
"Wake up!" Jessi bellowed. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" she continued while almost shaking Jami to death. Finally, after the third shake, Jami woke up.
"I was sooo scared!! It was just like it was happening all over again!" Jami replied.
"I had that dream last night and..." RING "Oh, the phone!" Jessi exclaimed. In the background, Jami could hear Jessi. "Uh huh. Yes. Of course! Thanks! JAMI!" Jessi screamed, while running in the room. "We get to play at the Halloween Dance!"
"Oh, joyous!" Jami cried.
"It's tomorrow and we must wear a costume," Jessi said.
"Of course," Jami replied.
THE NEXT NIGHT
While dressing, Jami started to hum. "Stop that annoying bee sound before I come over there and shove this box down your throat!" Jessi joked, while holding up the puzzle box. It was the only thing that reminded the girls of their parents. Jami and Jessi were sisters. Jami was born on Friday the 13th of October, at midnight. Jami had a mark on her back in the shape of a cube. Everyone thought it was a birthmark, but it meant much more. Jessi, on the other hand, was born on All Hallow's Eve at midnight. She also had a mark, but hers was a diamond on her collarbone. Like Jami's, it meant much more.
"TaDa! How do I look?" Jami asked.
"Excellent, Princess Leia!" Jessi sang.
"How did you know who I was?" Jami questioned.
"Well, I saw your hair and put the rest together." Jami had long, reddish brown hair that was currently done up in honeybuns. She had very pale skin, and the weirdest thing was that she had silver eyes and the lips to match. Jami had a mark on her neck from a chain that was hanging in the room where their parents were murdered. The chain had sliced Jami on the neck as she ran out. Jami studies white magic as a cleric. She is one of the best in her fighting class. She wore a silver dress that came down to her knees.
"How do I look?" Jessi interrogated.
"Don't worry, you look just fine," Jami replied. Well, that was as close to the truth as Jami dared to say. For one thing, Jessi's eyes changed color according to her mood. She had enough fighting skills for an army, and studied black arts. Jessi was wearing the most awesome dress: it was black with a hole cut over the stomach and a slit up the side. Jessi also had the same slice mark on her neck as her sister. "Hey, Jess! Isn't it about time to go?" Jami asked. Jessi glanced at the clock.
"Yep, let's call the rest of our band. WAIT! You call and I'll get our junk together." Jessi replied.
"Oker doker." Jami said. She picked up the receiver and contacted the band. In the background, Jami heard Jessi rummaging around for things.
"What happened to your dress, did you run it through a meat grinder?" Jarrod laughed. Jami and Jessi had two obnoxious brothers, the eldest, at eighteen, was Jarrod. He made a lot of jokes about Jessi's clothes. The other one was the baby of the family. His name was Danny. The sisters loaded everything up into the car and went on their way. While driving, they began to talk.
"Jami, do you remember that night when Pinhead came?"
"Yeah," Jami replied in a sad tone. "We're here!" Jami cried, trying to keep her mind off the subject.
"Nervous?" asked Jessi.
"Definitely!" Jami answered.
"Hey guys," the girls yelled. They saw the rest of the band waiting up against the brick building. As the band was turning up, a popular girl walked up.
"Oh great, look. Here comes Stacy," Jami grumbled. Stacy waltzed up to the rest of her gang.
"YOU'RE playing tonight? We shouldn't have come." Stacy smirked. Jami, just in time, stopped Jessi from twisting Stacy's fat head right off of her shoulders. Jami was one level higher than Jessi and could hold back a stampede. As the group walked away, Jami released her hold on Jessi.
"C'mon people, let's set up our junk, 'kay?" Jami ordered. "Jessi what song do you want to play first?" Jami asked.
"How should I know, dumb brains?" Jessi snapped, still upset from Stacy and her posse, and at Jami for holding her back. Jami could tell that Jessi was mad at her because of one reason: Jessi's eyes were no longer their original brown, but gray. Gray was a warning: it meant she needed space. Jami gave Jessi the look and picked up her guitar. The band started to play. After the song ended, Jessi apologized to Jami. "Jami I'm sorry I called you dumb brains."
"It's alright. You were mad at Stacy," Jami said.
"Let's play another song," Jessi smiled. Jessi's eyes were back to normal. The band played many more songs. Suddenly, the lights went out. There were a lot of screams, and when they came back on, everyone was stunned. There stood the clan of Cenobites that had murdered Jami and Jessi's parents. Jami looked at all the people staring at Pinhead. None of them moved. Jami thought about how stupid they were for just standing there like statues.
"Who are you supposed to be, a guy that had a hardware accident?" Tallin asked. Jessi just shook her head. How stupid could he be? she thought.
"NOT BLOODY LIKELY," Pinhead replied, in a slight English accent. Just after that, Tallin exploded in a shower of blood. Pinhead turned back to the crowd. In one lightning quick move, Pinhead grabbed Melissa and ripped her arm clean off of her heavy body. With a quizzical look on his face, he glanced at the watch, which at this certain moment in time was still attached to the limb of Melissa. Then he calmly replied: "IT'S TIME." Then he turned to his colleagues and said: "Oh, looks like we'll be very busy tonight." Everyone ran in widespread panic. Chains barred the doors. Everyone stopped when they heard Jami get angry.
"You fucking idiot! Who in the hell brought you back?! Because when I find out, I'm going to rip their head right off of their shoulders! Then yours, Pinhead!" Jami screamed.
"COME AND GET ME," Pinhead grinned. Jami swung her guitar over her head and smashed it over Pinhead's.
"FOOLISH MORTAL. JUST WAIT AND I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT TRUE PAIN FEELS LIKE!" he responded. By now Jessi was enraged, her eyes had changed from brown to a bright red. The rest of the clan closed in on her.
"FIRE WALL!" Jessi screamed. Jami whirled around, with Pinhead already facing the clan.
"STOP THAT!" Pinhead commanded. WHOMP! Chatterer, the Female Cenobite, and Butterball were trapped in walls of bright, orange flames that were towering high above them. As soon as Jessi made sure they couldn't get free, she walked over to Jami. Everyone stared at Jessi. "AHH JESSI, YOU KNOW THE BLACK ARTS AND YOU'RE VERY SKILLED AT THEM, TOO," Pinhead sounded slightly interested. "THEN JAMI, YOU'VE MASTERED WHITE MAGIC," Pinhead figured. The girls started walking backwards.
"What do you want?" Jami implored.
"THREE THINGS. ONE: THE BOX. TWO: SOULS. AND THREE: YOU!" Pinhead laughed, as he pointed toward the girls. The new clan walked up behind Pinhead. "LOOK GIRLS, I BROUGHT YOU SOME NEW FRIENDS." Pinhead chuckled.
"I think not!" Jami abruptly shouted. "STONE!" The new clan was then enslaved in hard, gray rock. "C'mon!" Jami screeched. After they had run out of the gym, they heard a voice calling after them.
"SOON, WE WILL BECOME VERY CLOSE FRIENDS." Following it was the sound of chains mingled with screams.
"Let's go get the box. It can send him back to Hell." Jessi had done a lot of research on the whole matter; therefore, she knew almost everything about it. Jami always questioned her on everything but that subject.
"But it's at home," Jami responded.
"Then let's go get it," Jessi coaxed. Jami sped home rapidly with Jessi, screaming hysterically for her to slow down. When they arrived home, Jami ran inside while Jessi got sick in the bushes. Finally, Jessi managed to stumble inside. Jessi found Jami sitting at the kitchen table fumbling with the box.
"I can't open it!" Jami shrieked. "And where the heck have you been?" she asked, looking up at Jessi.
"I got sick," Jessi moaned.
"Oh, sorry," Jami answered.
"It's alright. I'm better now."
"How do ya open this thing anyway?" Jami inquired.
"You have to want to open it," Jessi murmured, still sick from her wild ride. A paint chip flaked off the box.
"What the!!" Jami cried.
"It's a replica!" Jessi gasped.
"Who has the real one?" Jami demanded.
"Amber has it!" Jessi retorted.
"How do you know, laser brains?!" Jami protested.
"I saw it with her. At first, I thought it was part of her costume," Jessi said.
"C'mon!" Jami roared, while dragging Jessi towards the car.
"Let go of me, will ya?" Jessi screamed.
"How do ya suppose we get there?" Jami angrily retorted.
"Like so: TELEPORT!" Jessi cast. POOF!
"Wow!" Jami breathed.
"I know, I know, I rule!" Jessi bragged. Jessi had teleported herself and Jami to the school. "We're in the school, so let's find the cube," Jessi suggested. The girls ran towards the gym. A hellish sight came to greet them. Everyone was dead. The girls carefully walked through the doors, ready for anything. Something caught Jami's eye. She had just noticed that the strobe lights had been set on light and dark blues. Suddenly the lights focused on them.
"WELCOME BACK, GIRLS," Pinhead greeted. Jessi saw the box at her feet. In one quick, fluid motion she grabbed it and Jami, then ran for the door.
"NOT YET!" Pinhead answered. Chains barred the doors. The girls stopped and turned, slowly walking back to Pinhead. "NOW WE CAN TALK SENSIBLY," Pinhead growled. Old and new clan members stood around Pinhead.
"What, Nailhead?" Jessi smirked. In school, the girls had learned about being above and below the line; Jessi at the moment was below the line. She was fed up with Pinhead's little games. Pinhead knew this and played it cool.
"What do you want?" The girls inquired.
"YOU ALREADY KNOW," he answered. The girls glanced at the box.
"Take it!" Jessi glared. Pinhead stepped forward into the light. The girls hesitated for a moment. Then Jami stepped forward and shoved the box in his hands.
"Take it, asshole!!" Jami smiled.
"RUN, JAMI!!!!" Jessi urgently tugged at Jami's dress. Just before the girls reached the doors, they heard "ARGH!" It was Pinhead and he was very pissed.
Then, from out of nowhere, the Female Cenobite stepped out of the darkness and said: "Quit playing games with us!" The girls saw Pinhead holding the box with paint chips on it. They gave a little smirk.
"I CAME HERE TO BRING PAIN AND SUFFERING TO THE WORLD. UNFORTUNATELY, YOU HAD TO GET IN MY WAY. NOW YOU BOTH MUST SUFFER," Pinhead leered.
"You really enjoy your job, don't you?" Jessi grimaced as chains restrained her and Jami.
"ONE MUST ENJOY HIS GIVEN PROFESSION," he replied. While all this was happening the box was knocked from Jami's hand to the floor. Fortunately, it slid under a dead body. Piston walked forward, wanting to get to the girls first, but just as he got close enough, Jami cast White. Piston wailed in pain and surprise. WHOMP! Butterball lit up in flames. "Good one!" Jami joked. Soon after, the Female Cenobite felt the power of White. The girls ripped free of their restraints and jumped down. Jami grabbed the box while Jessi grabbed Pinhead.
"Jami, I could use a little help here," Jessi managed, while struggling with Pinhead. Jami got down on the other side of Pinhead and held him down.
Pinhead threw Jessi off and to Jami replied: "CHILD, YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT THE TRUE MEANING OF PAIN IS," Pinhead snarled. Just then, Jessi tackled Pinhead.
"Grab the box!" she ordered. Jami dove at a pile of cadavers. Her hand soon found the puzzle.
"Jessi, I'll trade ya!" Jami offered.
"Okay!" Jessi agreed. So Jami struggled with Pinhead while Jessi solved the box. "I've got it!" Jessi whooped. With the box's final click, everything vanished and the girls appeared back on stage finishing a song. The band took a break and the sisters went outside.
"Tell me that did NOT happen!" Jessi demanded.
"It's like no time passed, whatsoever," Jami figured.
"GIRLS," Pinhead appeared behind them. A rush of adrenaline surged through Jami's body. POW! She whacked Pinhead directly in the groin. He stumbled back into hell, cursing every living thing under the sun. Jami and Jessi looked at each other and burst out laughing and walked inside.
The End.
