Special F/X were handled by Bob Keen, who also worked on HR1. Hellraiser-inspired items include a skinless man, hooks and wires pulling flesh apart, and a puzzle-like spaceship engine. missing

House on Haunted Hill 1999
Near the end of the movie, the ghost of Dr. Vannacutt emerges and says: "The doctor is in." This line is identical to the Channard Cenobite's quip as he enters the Channard Institute from Hell. Both HR2 and this film take place at an institution. *

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master 1988
When Kirsten dreams about Freddy's boiler room at the start of the movie it contains numerous hanging chains. Not only are some hooked but the sound they make is very much the same as in Hellraiser. Given that this film was made around the time of the release of HR1 it would seem to be a deliberate reference. *

Star Trek: The Next Generation 8 May 1989

Not only does the Borg's cube-shaped ship look a lot like the Lament Configuration, the Borg themselves strongly resemble the Cenobites of HR3.
