The idea was mine. I brought it to my tattoo artist and he drew it up using select pages from the Hellraiser comics, The Book of the Damned 1-4, Pinhead Comics, trading cards, movie posters and even the box to my Screamin' vinyl model! The Pinhead, The Lament Configuration, and the chains were all designed, drawn, and tattooed by Chris Henry. The Lament Configuration was completed in 2 sessions of about 2.5 - 3 hours each, the Pinhead and chains were completed in 2 sittings of 4 hours each. At the time, Chris was working at Philadelphia Eddie's in Philadelphia, but since then he has moved to Pittsburgh. I'm currently trying to find him, so maybe this being on the internet will help!
I met Clive Barker and Doug Bradley at Dragon*Con '97. I showed them both my artwork and asked them to sign my back. They were each honored to say the least! I had them use a permanent marker, but it soon started to wear off! My wife kept going over the signatures to keep them legible, until we could get to a local tattoo shop in Atlanta. We met Pat Carmack from Tornado Tattoo in Little Five Points, a suburb of Atlanta. He etched the autographs into my back.
